Our Vision

We have set our­selves the goal of devel­oping a modern eco­nomic Master’s study pro­gram that opti­mally pre­pares our stu­dents for the chal­lenges of a rapidly changing pro­fes­sional world. Our focus is always on the future in order to cover the rel­e­vant com­pe­tences with the selec­tion of our courses. A clear phi­los­ophy about the con­tent of our courses forms the basis for our course of studies. These are related closely with our goal-driven struc­ture to ensure excel­lent studying con­di­tions. Nev­er­the­less, our Master’s pro­gramme offers all stu­dents enough freedom to indi­vid­u­ally design their studies.

This master degree pro­gram aims to deepen and expand the knowl­edge acquired in the field of Inter­na­tional Mar­keting by com­bining the­o­ret­ical exper­tise with prac­tical ori­en­tated case studies and appli­ca­tions.

At WFI and Toulouse School of Man­age­ment (tsm), research and teaching at a high inter­na­tional level, con­sis­tent quality man­age­ment, inter­na­tion­ality and a dis­tinct prac­tical ori­en­ta­tion are building the core values of our double degree pro­gram  Inter­na­tional Mar­keting.

The double-degree pro­gram suits stu­dents, who in addi­tion to their interest in Mar­keting and Inno­va­tion Man­age­ment, also have strong interest in devel­oping a com­pre­hen­sive and pro­foundly inte­grate knowl­edge of cus­tomer-ori­ented Man­age­ment and Data analysis. With this spe­cial­iza­tion, we are addressing bach­elor grad­u­ates in Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion, Mar­keting, or Inter­na­tional Man­age­ment .

Structure and content of the study program

A total of 120 ECTS must be com­pleted in the course of study. 90 ECTS are gained through manda­tory and com­pul­sory elec­tive mod­ules. The remaining 30 ECTS are col­lected through the short­ened Mas­ter’s thesis (15 ECTS) and the three-month intern­ship in a franco-phone country or Germany(15 ECTS).

STRUCTURE

Under the roof of the DFH you will first study for two semes­ters at Ingol­stadt School of Man­age­ment (WFI) and then move to the Toulouse School of Man­age­ment (tsm) at Uni­ver­sité Toulouse for the third and fourth semester. At both loca­tions, you will sharpen your com­pe­tence pro­file in inter­na­tional mar­keting and ser­vice man­age­ment. During the first and second semester, you will com­plete com­pul­sory and elec­tive courses (60 ECTS). During your stay in Toulouse, you will deepen your knowl­edge of busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion with fur­ther spe­cialist courses (30 ECTS), an inter­na­tional intern­ship (15 ECTS) and the writing of a short­ened Mas­ter’s thesis (15 ECTS).

During the first semester, you can dive deeper into the topics of Strategic Man­age­ment and Ser­vice Man­age­ment. In the course of Empir­ical Man­age­ment Research you will learn how to apply sta­tis­tical methods using SPSS and how to inter­prete their out­comes by means of prac­tical exam­ples. Fur­ther­more, you will get new insights into more log­ical and quan­ti­ta­tive approaches towards a customer´s life­time value for a com­pany in the course Ana­lyt­ical Cus­tomer Man­age­ment. Addi­tional ana­lyt­ical skills in mar­keting processes make you espe­cially valu­able as a mar­keting man­ager. The acquired skills of the first semester will be applied in the second semester.

Based on the existing knowl­edge you gath­ered in the first semester, the course Return on ser­vice man­age­ment will enable you to deepen your skills in the inde­pen­dent orga­ni­za­tion and imple­men­ta­tion of group projects. Also, working on prac­tical case studies allows stu­dents to learn about the chal­lenges that com­pa­nies face when oper­ating in inter­na­tional mar­kets. The range of courses is com­ple­mented by the course of advanced busi­ness ethics in which you will develop an under­standing of dif­ferent dimen­sions of respon­sible cor­po­rate behavior in the con­text of social devel­op­ments.

    In the fourth and last semester you will do an intern­ship in a fran­cophone-country of your choice and write your master thesis. A three-month long intern­ship will give you the oppor­tu­nity to gain first work expe­ri­ence in an inter­cul­tural envi­ron­ment. With regard to the master thesis you have the pos­si­bility to coop­erate with a com­pany of your choice while con­sid­ering sci­en­tific rigor and rel­e­vance. It is highly rec­om­mended to write your Master thesis at TSM, but of course you can also apply at one of the chairs of busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion at WFI.

Due to the ver­sa­tility of the study offering, grad­u­ates are per­fectly equipped for the entry as gen­er­al­ists in the large inter­na­tional con­sul­tan­cies. By spe­cial­izing in a spe­cific sub­ject area, grad­u­ates can acquire pro­found the­matic knowl­edge which enables them to obtain niche advice in a con­sul­ta­tive envi­ron­ment. The WFi also offers a very dis­tinc­tive net­work with strong coop­er­a­tions to the most impor­tant con­sulting com­pa­nies.
