Toulouse School of Management

Toulouse —
La ville rose

With almost 460,000 inhabitants, the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region is the fourth largest city in France. With its 240 km long Canal du Midi it connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Mediterranean Sea, which is unique in the world, leading it to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.  With more than 97,000 students, it is also the city with the most students in France and thus outperforms even Paris and Lyon.

More information regarding your stay in Toulouse, you can find at the website of the International Office.

With its two degrees the International Marketing program gives me the unique opportunity to prepare in the best way possible for the French-German job market. I already enjoyed working as an intermediary between German and French partners during an internship. The dual degree program helps me now to improve my cross-cultural competencies and to be even better prepared for such a working environment.”

After a long search for a suitable Master’s program, I found the Ingolstadt School of Management that offered the course that convinced me the most. As a multilingual student, both the internationality and a certain versatility in my Master’s degree were important to me. In my opinion, the double degree master course International Marketing combines these areas best. The capitole on the magnificent Place du Capitole in the center of Toulouse is one of the most famous buildings of the rose madder city. Behind its impressive facade it not only houses the city government, but also fantastic art treasures.

Although Toulouse is home to many engineers who work in aerospace, the culture is distinctly laid back. Compared to Paris, the people are friendlier, things are cheaper and the climate is warmer.

Toulouse is a city that feels like a village. Although it is a large city in France, the downtown core has been well preserved and not urban like other large cities. It is surprisingly pedestrian friendly. You can easily walk to most locations in the city centre. Toulouse is also known for its rich culinary culture. This is a city to eat French country cuisine. When in Toulouse look for classic French cassoulet, duck confit and the Toulouse sausage.

Toulouse is the home of Airbus headquarters, comprising many support and strategic functions (customer relations, supply management, human resources, marketing, sales and communications, finance and more). Toulouse is also a site for many Airbus divisions.
